99 E55 AMG, What to look out for?
 

I was crusing ebay for a 98-99 E300 D and was noticing that there many E55's in great shape with low miles for not much money. Seems like they are almost less than a diesel in cost?
I still want the diesel but for the money it would make a nice weekend play toy. I know you have to watch out for the front spring area rusting, but is there anything else particular for the E55.
I have driven the latest generation E55 and I thought it was a great all around package. How would the 99 compare? Any help would be appreciated before I get too serious.
