V6 to V8 ever been done?

Does anyone know if any DIY'er has ever put a three valve V8 in place of a 3.2 V6?

Not sure why anyone would go through the hassle if the V8 version of the same car is available. It would probably save money to not swap and to buy the V8 version.

There is no V8 version. The Crossfire only came with 320/3.4 V6. Brabus/Startech has put V8's in them but they are not talking about how they did it. The would rather charge atronomical prices for this conversion.
