We just purchased a 1994 E320 Wagon w/105,000 miles. A friend suggested using Techron (by Chevron) as a fuel additive to help clean the fuel system. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Would also appreciate any thoughts on PM needs of this vehicle at this mileage.
This is our first MB product of any kind, and we're incredibly impressed with everything about it so far. Thanks, jwiles |

Techron may sell more in volume, but personally, I'm a true believe of Redline Oil's product. Try their SI1 fuel injector cleaner. Available at some Pepboys stores. Relatively expensive, but was able to give me better mielage. http://www.redlineoil.com

Techron is the choice of many high profile companies. For example, Yamaha Outboard Motors uses Techron exclusively to decarbonize rings and clean fuel systems. If a company like Yamaha uses it, its guaranteed to be one of the best.

I tried the Techron once, no noticeable difference, but the car was running ok anyhow.
I'll try the Redline product someday. |
