Red face

Guy's I think the enthusiasm is great but if the 0-60,0-100 etc speed is your ticket then you need to take the proper classes and come to the nearest track. It will be a great amount of fun and a good opportunity to meet with others of similar interest.

Beastie, I may be wrong but I do believe the first post that started this thread was dealing with just the thing we have proceeded to discuss here. I am sure that if you have no interest in this thread, there may be others that might interest you.

Yes, the Viper is not as practical as the Z06, but who cares? I really respect what Dodge and Shelby have done with the Viper. Its all around performance is outstanding. And it just looks great, like nothing else on the road. I consider it to be a real performance GT, why don't you? And remember, the Viper has been around since 92'. With the upcoming redesign, the Viper will be faster, have better handling, look better, and be comfortable.

Thumbs up

Southern-Son, I think you misunderstood my meaning. The thread is great reading. I was only pointing out that there are venues out there where you can expand upon your interest.

Go here for the article: http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caranddriver/comparisontests/2001/August/200108_comparisontest_topless.xml?&page=1

The SLK pulls off a 13.0 second 1/4 mile time. Not too far behind the LT4's 12.7, and keep in mind, if the SLK came with a manual, it would have either matched or beaten the LT4 in the 1/4 mile.
