Where can i pull oil from on a M104 block to feed a turbo?
I have measured out my oil sending unit and using a complex tee i can pull oil from there but its at the bottom of the intake side of the block and at least 4 feet from the turbo. Plus i have to use a 12mm x 1.5 to 4 an adapter to a 4 an tee for the feed on one side and then use a reverse 4an to 12mm x 1.5 to reattach the sending unit, thats a lot of possible leaks and tedious ghetto rigging. Any other places i could pull oil from on my M104 block?

That is the most obvious place. Putting a t at the filter/ cooler fitting would be more difficult I think. I wonder if there's a place with a galley plug that you could place one?

Below are my two attempts at it. The first one didn't fit in the car. I was too high. M120 into 560SL (With Pictures!) M120 into 560SL (With Pictures!)

Roncallo, I wish i could do that but i have no experience with that, heres what i thought for the sending unit but i really want to know if theres a spare hole somewhere. All these parts are avalible from summit racing but i really dont want to do this.

I had no experience either. Why do you think it took me 5 tries to get it right. But I did have a milling machine. In any case what is the major diameter of the threads of an AN4 fitting if its under 10.5mm you can bore the AN "T" out directly because 10.5mm is the drill you need for the 12 x 1.5 tap. The other thing you might consider is to bring a hose from the engine to a "T" manifold on the firewall or fender.

Or how about a cubed shaped piece of Aluminum. Drill a 12mm hole straight down the center and a 12mm x 1.5 female port on one side face and an AN4 female port face on another edge. That you can do on a drill press.

You know you will have pressure at this point. That's how I feed my twin turbos, using a custom machined distribution block that threads via a banjo bolt to the sender opening and accepts the relocated sender along with the wye braided cooling lines. My part was supplied by Turbotechnics, but there is a seller on EBAY that looks like he can supply whatever you require ! I could use the bmw block sense he can tap all the holes to 12mmx1.5 but something tells me that particular shape wont fit. I am, however, interested in c280nz's idea. I am glad to see mercedes has that auxilary plug becuase i have looked over the junk block i have and theres only a coolant drain/auxilary bolt. I would like to know the thread size on that piece so i can begin messing with it.

and i cant remember the size of that alen key bolt, just take ur one out an measure it, i just found a pic: thanks blind. now to explain where the bolt is im talking about because i can be ass'd adding an arrow and finding a photo server, its the bolt on the bottom left of the oil filter housing, that little black tube runs just under the plug and looks like it is just touching the bottom of the plug, the little copper washer it has helps to make it stand out. this is the type of oil filter housing i have, but there is 3 different style ones, have a look here: http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.asp?TP=1&F=210055&M=104%2E995&GA=722%2E329722%2E509722%2E605&CT=M&cat=520&SID=18&SGR=045&SGN=02 u with me there turbo e320? keep us all up to date as how ure build is coming along, its interesting,,
few other things that ul prolly need and just incase u hadnt thought of them, larger injectors, (maby a adjustable fuel pressure regulator) a larger maf airflow meter (maby) and a larger fuel pump, these are the three things im doing at the mo on my build, i built a larger maf 2day, but im still running out of fuel, so i think my fuel pump isnt keeping up :-( fuel pressure guage to go in in the next few days) |

For my fuel system im using 310cc mustang injectors, a nuespeed 5.0 fpr, and calibrating it with a safc neo. If an adjustable fpr is as easy to install as the nuespeed(which is basically a bolt on) i might get one
