Stole if off my dads 944 turbo. Needless to say he wasnt too pleased until the new one I unvoluntarily bought for him arrived

I finished the car btw. It runs the same but its got a loudish hissing noise to it that seems to eminate below the first half the intake. I cant see anything because of the charge pipes but it seems to be like a big vaccuum leak but the car is not acting erratic.

check the two vacuum hoses under the intake, they are real easy to break when you mess around with all that stuff

Ok I'll do that tmw. Its a loud hiss though unlike the light tunnel air sound of a vacuum leak. It also sounds likes like something quickly screeching to a halt when you shut off the car, although its not nearly as loud as the hiss itself.

The hiss was from the lower intake to upper intake coupler, fixed that. Still having trouble getting the timing cover to seal but then again I only really work on the car on the weekends.

pull the pin for the slack side guide from the head put the cover on and then install the pin through the hole in the cover (has a cap on it normally) that is the easiest way to get the upper cover on without kinking the green horseshoe seal. you can check around it with a mirror and see if it is in properly or not.

Its running great, was still running terrible and saw the turbo to intercooler pipe connection wasnt hooked up in the least lol. Now it runs strong and is set to be tuned @ 10-12psi. Probably need some 4xx-5xx cc injectors if my 5 bar fpr doesnt compensate enough.

all sounding good!
so u got the ignition timing hooked up and all that,
i have gone to 440cc injectors,
i figured out that the 310cc at 5 bar is about 370cc equivalant, so im going to the 440s and puting in a adjustable pressure regulator.
bigger injectors and lower fuel pressure will be alot easier on the pump.
read that diff post from whimpple i put a question in it for you.

my engine is out at the mo, i got a spare to go in, i shud really make a post like u and put all my stuff in it.
peace

Finally got the misfire problem sorted out. AFR's are terribly rich(9:1) before boost so the lag is quite bad haha. With the new brakes I never knew traction control was this strong on the car, it was really slowing down the car. You can see it through the rpm spikes and what not. I could feel the car just fighting the traction control.

10-11psi. I put new ceramic pads and drilled rotors all the way around. The car has 275-35-18 tires in the back. When the ETC light started flashing the car just fell on its face. Gotta turn it off this time with my relay switch
