Yeah Tobias, Mercedes in the Trans-Am Series! Now that would be COOL!

Checking out the Mercedes Worldwide web site, (http://www.mercedes.com/e/msports/default.htm) it appears as if they are only involved in three forms of racing. Formula 1, DTM, and European Truck Racing Cup all centered in Europe, CART engines appear to have been dropped this year.

Surely a company with the resources that Mercedes has and the know how of AMG can afford to go racing in some American roadracing series. And not just with a engine design, I'm talking a factory CLK Class or new C-Class car or maybe even a prototype design where the CLK-GTR left off.

And while I'm at it, how about a Drag Racing effort in NHRA or IHRA??? Pro Stock E-Class or CLK in the 6's??? :p
