3.27 Differential install questions

I am very intersted in the differential upgrade i have been hearing about. I have reciently sorced a used differential with 3.27 gearing for $300.00. is this a fair price? what would be the aproximate RPM at 60 MPH? What would installation cost? Are thier any fitment problems since this unit was removed from a 89 300TE? would 3.27:1 be an ok ratio for primary daily driver street use? or is this too mutch? your responces would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks and....... God Bless America!!
Adam

Adam,

Sounds like you are hopping up the 300e nicely.

Make sure to get a speedo from a 300te so you can have it calibrated to the differential otherwise it'll be off. Or have yours calibrated to the differential.

Since this was a standard ratio from the 260E & station wagon & they use the same engine I think you will be OK. Just remember that you will pull a few more Revs at the same speed.

That was actually my next question. dose the shift control... bowden?? cable need to be tuned after the upgraded differential? i imagine it would because of the RPM also being different.
