sway bar

what is a good size for a sway bar if i want good cornering? some people say 3in some say the bigger the better. I'm not so sure what to go with.

a 3 inch bar?!?!?!?!
Pick up a set of 500E sway bars..they will make a Huge difference...

Couple it w/ H&R's and Bilstein Sports.

Bigger the better ???

There is always the rule of diminishing returns when it comes to sway bars.

3" diameter is akin to welding an I-beam across the chassis !!

As Jonathan said look for a 500E, Sportline, or limo bar...
These choices are sized and designed for the 124 chassis...

I have sportline front swaybars, limo rear or what ever they are (17mm) ; Bilstein Sports.
and brabus springs (rears are gr8, front springs i have my doubts)

the weakest link for corning on the 190E/300E/etc. benz is that fully floating front strut mount.

Limo bar is what you want though, skip the 500E front bar, but 500E rear bar is good too.

Limo front bar (28.5mm) and 500E rear bar (18.0mm).
