Using the stock ignition for a turbo setup?
I'm gathering info on using megasquirt and im either using a m103 or a m117. My question is will the stock ignition work fine with the turbo and a stock redline?

I would say as long as your boost is low you will be ok. There is no knock control in either ezl. The main thing I wonder is why would you if you are going to put stand alone injection on? You can also add an ignition retard box to the system if you wanted.

you may have to close the gap some, but mb ignitions are pretty hot

if your using Megasquirt just control the coil from megasquirt but have everything else stock, removing the vacume tho.
A guy who has a supercharged M117 going up to 17psi lol said to me that he was removing his wasted spark and going with the easier locked distributer because to him on these engines wasted spark is not worth it, they only rev to a max of 7k well within range |

I run the stock M103 EZL ignition with the fixed R16 resistor removed to pull a bit more advance.
Using NGK BP6EFS plugs with stock Mercedes wires. Plenty of hot spark and much power up to redline.... Both turbos are fixed at .48 bar / 7 psi boost.
