SEC style hood that was on your 16 valve

Hello:

I realize this was posted several years ago, but I just found this thread. I have been looking for that SEC style hood for a few years. Is there any chance that it is still around? I wish I had seen these post when they were fresh, as I have an original Gold hood off a 16 valve. I bought my first in Germany in 85, the year before they were first imported here, and bought one of the SEC style hoods, They were Fiberglass, before I shipped the car home. I now have my third 16 valve and have been searching for one of these hoods since 2000.

Anyway, I just thought it never hurts to ask., as I am here in Ca.

After I sold the 16V I bought a 1965 Chevy Corvair.
I also built my own Forum, CorvairForum.com, became Western Director for the national organization, and newsletter editor for the local club. I now own 6 Corvairs. lol.
I do miss my 16V and plan on getting another one someday. I still scan the local cragslist and ebay once in awhile to see whats available.

it now looks like this.

This was at Route66 car show last year.

"some mods improve your car and make it into something it never was, other mods, however, although essentially the same, are not, and make that car a ricer"

if your car isnt shiny, you dont know what you are talking about, remember; paint shine = knowledge. In order to be taken seriously, you should spend all your money on paint, (and get a dyno reading).
Dont forget to polish it often
