M104 2.8 looking for performance ideas

I bought a 300E 2.8 straight six. I restore MB and i would like to hot rod this one. it is pretty quick for what it is stock and the size of the car. what are some easy mechanical things to do to get just a little more. I installed a borla system on it already, i would like to find a set of headers, what else could i do??

I know sounds stupid asking but I work on early 300's and just have not learned this engine yet and i would like some input from those who know more about this engine... thank you

It responds quite well to boost. There are several boosted m104's of every variety.

Mark Bernstein has a twin turbo e320, I have a turbo e320, c280nz has a turbo c280, Blown_m104 has a supercharged e320, and whipplem104 has a supercharged 300ce with a 320 M104.

Also there are 1st gen M104's like yours that have been turboed here is a twin turbo first gen 3.0L M104.

that early m104 has mechanical fuel injection! man that would be hard to manipulate, that must be the cis style system, jayrash i think knows how that system works.

lsome headers like you say and a good cold air intake will help, what is borla?

you could go the boosted route, which is alot of work, another option would be a small shot of nitrous.
depends how serious you are

*thanks for sharing the pics e320t havent seen them b4

Dont say that! :x RBYCC will hunt you down RBYCC has the m103 version of that twin turbo kit on his 300ce and he runs the stock fuel system with an additional injector controller. I think he uses two additional injectors.

i have even gone one step further and made the system run with no additional injectors
But i cant deny RBYCC's setup is easier and more efficient.

Doesn't that have the short stroke crank? Get stand alone fuel injection, do some head work, cams, rev it to 10-12K.
