reinforced C36 head-gasket

Since there is neither a Factory (OE) , nor OEM or aftermarket, C36-specific headgasket (fire-rings are 1mm larger), with the proper reinforcements so the head-gasket doesn't receded over time, I have contacted Cometic gasket to see if they could produce one.

If you're interested, please comment on this thread.

Thanks!

I was looking into the same thing. I actually have talked to two guys on the east coast that are using the cometic gasket. They are using the gasket from the m120 engine left bank I think. Cometic does not know that they are the same gasket. You may mention this when talking to them.
I plan on doing the same in the future.

Can you get me in contact with those individuals running the Cometic gasket ?

I told them to look at the M120 they already ran, but they want me to send a C36 head and block to make sure . . .

I actually called the guy today. He said they used the right cylinder head gasket, but that he did have to have it modified a little at a machine shop. He said it was around 400 for the gasket and Cometic wanted 600 to custom one. He said that the dowl pins were not drilled and there was a coolant and maybe an oil port that were not in the gasket. They simply matched the stock gasket to the cometic one and drilled the necessary holes.
