hey alon

if price is an issue, then stick to your guns. if you are willing to spend more money (around $450-500), then go with an all stainless steel eisenmann muffler with chrome oval tips (even comes in chrome round tips). this particular muffler is more custom fitted than supersprint. in my opinion i think eisenmann is the best for the money then supersprint. it even comes in 3 sound levels: loud, medium and soft.

i just ordered one for my 89 300E. haven't receieved it yet, cuz i specially ordered it from germany. if you are interested in purchasing one, buy it from tony downs at bekkers import (great guy) tel # 800-624-5410 ext 16.

here is the link to eisenmann's website (it's all in german).

http://www.eisenmann-technik.de/

then click on "hier gehts zur produktsuche" and then type the vehicle you have.

hope this helps.

Well its not price, its name recognition, and Fitament. The remus is a direct bolt in, for my car for $170.00 then theres shipping but performance products is local to me so I could will call it.

The direct bolt in for me is a factor, I like the remus tips, and I like the Arospeed with the rectangular angle cut tips. But the designed for my car factor is a huge plus with the remus versus a universal.

I want my exhaust to look good, but I don't want it to sound ridiculously loud. Understated and slightly throaty under accelleration is what I like.

understood.

but if your factory muffler has angle exhaust tips, your remus muffler tips will be offset due to its straight tips. check your vehicle.

as far as in a direct bolt on, the eisenmann muffler is a direct bolt on. and as far as in name recognition, i prefer eisenmann way over remus any day. matter a fact i prefer supersprint over remus. i don't hate remus, but i think there is better mufflers out there. (my friend had a remus muffler on his 87 300E, and he thought it was okay. he wishes he had oval tips instead).

remember eisenmann mufflers are made 100% stainless steel, and come in 3 sounds: loud, med, and SOFT. they basically have all applications for mbz, bmw, vw, porsche (i think), and audi.

that is just my opinion. but as far as in the price, remus is definetely the best bang for your buck since eisenmann mufflers are pricey.

No Dubs, I listened to some of your video. Did you take out your resonator or leave it in?
