m104 fuel pump help

hey, im not sure how generic my factory fuel pump set-up is on my w202 c class, but i need help with plumbing in a new pump.
my standard pump has 2 inlet pipes and one outlet, there is a main inlet pipe i would estimate to be 15mm hose, this goes in the end of the pump, and then there is another small 8mm hose going into the side of the fuel pump aswell near the main inlet, both hoses lead into the fuel tank, the main 15mm one into the bottom, and the smaller one about half way up the side of the tank,
i have bought a bosch 910 fuel pump and it only has the one 15mm inlet,
so what does the other 8mm pipe going from the pump to the tank do?

pipe number 11 is the outlet from the pump to the tank i am refering to

cheers for any help

Just plug it shut man, i believe its a fuel vapor recovery hose. i Its blocked on my AMG since AMGs have a higher flow pump with one inlet hose.

Being mid way on the tank i would say u can live with out it.

yea that was what i was thinking, i was just worried it might be for some type of ventury scavanging system to get fuel from one side of the tank to the other since it has a saddle tank
