190E 2.5 16V AMG engine???

I found today an 190E 2.5 16V engine for sale and it had AMG written on the valve cover...
I did a little research and i wasnt able to find any pictures of an 190E AMG engine and i am wondering how can i be sure if thats a real AMG engine or not to check if its worth buying it.
If anyone have any information on how to check if its real AMG or not let me know it would be great

If I remember correctly, there was a power pack available from AMG for the 2.5-16v which increased the power to ~225 hp (this is from memory)

P.S. here is info from wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_W201#16V_AMG_Power_Pack

The AMG Power Pack consisted primarily of revised camshafts and valve springs for the 2.5-16 along with a retuned ECU, air fuel mixture parts and sport exhaust. Cosmetically, the spark plug wire management strip on the top of the valve cover was replaced with the AMG logo version.

If you didn't have a catalytic, HP went up to 254.

Here is the pictures of the engine..
And here is the engine number 10299012001369
Decoding this number leads to a regular 2.5 16V, maybe an AMG power pack maybe not...but for sure not an evo1 or evo2
codes:
102983 = 2.3-16
102990 = 2.5-16
102991 = Evolution
102992 = Evolution 2

102990 10 0000030 = MG manuel getriebe (gearbox)
102990 12 0000030 = AG auto getriebe (gearbox)

so it was a 2.5 16V with an auto Gearbox

a very interresting website i found:

It's not an AMG engine. Someone has "badged" it badly.

Chlippo greetings....I know your post was some time in 2010. But do you think by any remote chance that this engine is still available?
