I noticed you list your E500 as a 1993 model. In North America, the nomeclature change from 500E occurred in 1994. Was GB ahead of the times?

Next, the E500 LTD that you have provided those great pictures of is listed as a 1995 model. Again, I'd like to know more about what was happening in Europe. Did they discontinue in 1996 when the W210 came out? I've seen pictures of a Europe-only E55 version of the W124 that was described as a 1996 model.

Can you fill in the blanks?

The W124 E500/500E, 400E/E420, 300E/E320's will NOT fit the 722.6 5-speed automatic. Not even Renntech's no budget way can make it work. According to the tuners, you can upgrade the 4 speed in a couple ways or put in a 6 speed manual.... You can change the diff but expect to pay big time for it... Just a tidbit of 500E lore...

Hm...I think that the interior is look better than regular E500 (no offense to anyone).

Too me if I own a very unique indeed very limited production car, I would want my interior to be distinguishable as well.. (diferent than the rest of the E-class model).

I like they seats though (it looks like the C43 seats, the stiching and the pattern)

The Dark wood (mapple bird eye is definitely cool.. ) I am with that.

Although the insert looks a bit unsually I personnally don't think it looks that bad. ..

(I'll bet this type of interior combination will looks even much better in person)

IMHO, that E500 Ltd upholstery pattern is still tamer than the early Porsche 928 hallucinatory checkerboard pattern.
