Strut Travel Limiter or another option?

On pretty large dips in the road my front bumper touches the ground...Not ideal. I've spotted this travel limiter, but it seems they are over $150 to obtain !!??

Is there another option for me to limit the travel of my strut?

I am running Eibach Springs /w Bilstein Sport struts. The "stiffer" stop buffers are actually shorter in length, so it would make my problem even worse. Any ideas? I just don't want to risk cracking my AMG front bumper when I mount it. That would suck...

Thanks,
Robert

Dips in any lowered car are to be taken s-l-o-w-l-y.

I've never scrapped the bumper on my car while driving. . I have once or twice at low speeds at weird angles leaving *****y parking lots. How bad are the roads over there in CA?

It happened on some backroads on the I-10 when it was shut and only once here in Cali. I mean it's not 100% necessary by any means...but it would make me feel a little more comfortable, know what I'm saying? An expensive, rare bumper like the AMG would break my heart to see cracked!

Don't worry, you won't scrape that fancy bumper at our next track day (June 5th).
Regards, Eric

You don't want to further limit your upward travel with an additional stop.

Did you ever consider it's the shortened travel of the Bilstein Sport that causes this?

That is the reason I run HD's with H&R Sport lowering springs.
The HD's don't hit the internal stop as quickly as the Sport does in street applications.
The 1" inch longer travel seems to prevent bottoming out as it has an increased time to full compression.
