3.0 twin charge
Yeah i completely agree whipplem104
My plan is to run 15 psi in the future. I have been told there is a way to tune the CIS to hold up to that but i cannot seem to find any pictures or good enough write ups about it. Does anyone know how i can do this? I mean of course i would love to go efi but thats a lot more cash than i have right now. Unless!... anyone knows of a really effective inexpensive "kit" i can buy. trying to find the stock crank pulley size of the supercoupe right now... |

There is no way you are going to run 15psi on cis by itself. It simply does not flow that much. You would definitely need to run a piggyback fuel system at minimum. I got to around 7psi on a modified cis system at sea level. Any more and the air flow sensor plate runs out of travel and there is no more fuel enrichment. Actually I was running into flow restrictions and the system would shut off at full throttle because fuel pressure would drop. I had to drop my boost from 9psi down to 6-7 psi. Of course this is flow related as well so maybe a few more pounds of boost is possible on a m103 that does not flow as well on the top end.
I would definitely go standalone injection though if you are planning on going up to 15psi. You will need timing control also. There are more budget friendly systems coming out all the time if you do not need all the frills. |

I got the supercoupe pulley sizes! Yay!
Crank pulley size 6.99x" (7 inches)
STOCK SC pulley(89-93) 3.125" Now how much psi would i be getting if its on my 3.0? |

Great topic. Out of curiosity, what is the advantage of this setup vs. using a centrifugal supercharger?

From what i have heard, centrifugal superchargers still have some "lag" compared to roots type superchargers.

I am just doing what if, I am sure this is not original. It may not even work.
How about add an air compressor (run by the engine) that fills a large tank to store compressed air and the air from the tank will only provide regulated pressure to the intake when the RPM is below ~ 1100. to eliminate any lag.
