Can you get a 190E - 5.0 emblem for it?

Exhaust looks great!

Is that a Time Valve exhaust?

If you are talking about the rear muffler, it is a Varex brand muffler. It has a remote control valve in it to vary between "quiet" and "loud".

Thanks for that DRBC43AMG, I'm really happy with how it is coming together. Still a bit to go though!

Here's a small video I took with the exhaust mostly done. Still needs some final welding. So far, Al has sorted 3 cylinders that weren't running. As you can tell, there's still more to chase. To quote Al - "Mo' cylinders, mo' problems"

190E Toyota V12 Turbo startup and rev - YouTube

Al's mate Matt got called on again to make one of his snazzy airboxes.

I found a photo of the original cradle Al made for the front of the diff. When he doesn't like something, he makes wholesale changes!

Well, up until today, this had no means of transferring the torque from the diff to the rear wheels.

Enter two custom axles mating the Datto inner CV's to the Merc outers.

Shiny.

Just needs a line made from the clutch master to the slave hardline to see if we get actual clutch actuation and this thing should be able to move under it's own power!

There is no doubt that it'll work. Great job on the project, will be waiting for videos of it on the move

Thanks Neil. Fortunately, the winters where I live aren't too bad. It never snows and doesn't really get that cold. So we don't have to hole up in our garages working on projects. In fact, I rode my mountain bike to work this morning in shorts and a t-shirt!

But I digress. There'd been a small hold up encountered on this. The inlet manifold is in two parts and there was an air leak occurring where these meet. The problem as described by Al, the builder:

Quote:
The upper manifold flange is just too thin in the casting to support itself. It was slightly bowed from welding and when machined flat it would simply distort again once it cooled. The more facing it got the worse it got. It's only 5mm thick cast. I am getting two 10mm flange plates cut to weld to the upper manifolds bowed flanges which will then be milled flat. The bottom half will then be milled to accomodate the extra height.
Today, voila!

Now, reassemble! Again.

Quiet week with no progress while the fab took another holiday! He reckons it is a test of my patience

So just to whet your appetite, the sister car of mine ran at the drags on Wednesday night.

It is Gen 3 Subaru Legacy with the same V12 engine, twin TD06 turbos, T400 auto and the same diff as mine. Runs close to 4000rpm stall speed in the converter. It made 350rwhp on the dyno and suspect a lower reading due to the converter and auto. It does make a mountain of torque though!

1GZ-FE Liberty Last run of the night - YouTube

As you can see form the video, it fairly gets up and boogies. Fastest ET of the night was 11.6 and quickest MPH was 120.

Definitely can't wait to get mine running and take it for a hit at the quarter!
