The radiator came from another friends project car. It just happened to fit in the slot for mine.

I don't know how many rows it is, i never looked that closely. It's not that thick though so i suspect it might only be two row. How well it actually cools remains to be seen.

If I can't crack a 12 in it, I reckon I'll burn it!

Knocked over another little job.

The shifter handle that came with the quick shifter was to suit our Holden Commodore (Pontiac GTO) and swept back.

So I fired up the welder (which I am **** at) and made a new handle. I'm pretty happy with the result and the hand seems to fall quite easily from the wheel to the shift knob now. Important because racecar

Aiming to have it back on its wheels this weekend.

So the old man came over and we got a few more jobs done. It's not back on it's wheels yet because a mate is coming to town next weekend and has offered to bring his guard roller with him which needs doing, so no point putting it down only to have to put it up again!

Bled the brakes and clutch. I love my power bleeder!

Did a spanner check on the rear suspension. I also started pulling out the rear swaybar. I had a thicker rear bar made and installed it early last year, but I'm thinking of doing so,ethng a bit different. In any case, I don't have a front bar until I get something custom made so rather than risk diabolical handling, safer to pull it out. I need to get a new jack so I can drop the subframe enough to finish pulling the bar out. If any one wants a 22mm rear bar and bushes, let me know!

We then played with Speedflow to make some hoses for the cam cover breathers.

Also finished off the radiator hoses and filled up with coolant.

The old boy needed a job he could do sitting down so I got him to put on the little Momo wheel I got awhile ago. It might be too small, but I always wanted a little wheel so I'll give it a go.

Next weekend will hopefully be guard rolling and if I have a new jack, swaybar out and then back on the ground

Just by way of finalising this thread - I've reached a point where I need to do some other things with my family and the funds needed to complete this car are no longer available. The entire V12 drivetrain has been sold complete. The rest of the good bits will be pulled out and the shell going off to scrap. One long and very expensive lesson learnt!

I haven't sold anything yet Merc specific yet. May get re-used, may get sold. But shipping from Australia to the US would be a killer.

Could you make a wild guess on how much money you spent up until now?
