Anyone have the sportline part list thread?

I tried searching, but I cannot seem to find it...

I want to gather parts to do a Wagon Sportline conversion. I have all part #'s for the Stuts/Springs/Sway bar, but I want to find what else I need for a true conversion.

I remember a thread (I think by Phil) where he listed all items + part #'s....

I assume sedan is the same as wagon other than the SLS struts+springs in rear.

I think there are a few sportline bushings as well, for the rear subframe mounts and a couple other spots.

Not sure but if I recall I don't think the Sportline bushes were any different then the standard bushes.

Get any Sportline VIN and plug it into the EPC.

Resurrecting Old Thread

Hi, all.

I realize this is an old thread, but I'm wondering if anyone has ever crossed the MB part numbers for the super-expensive wagon shocks over to other OEM supplier numbers.

A quick Internet search turned up Sachs 115 070 (SACHS Shock Absorber Super Touring Front Axle, Gas Pressure, Suspension Strut) from a parts house in the UK at only £58,91 including VAT; at today's exchange rate, that's less than $85 each, compared to $370 each for the genuine wagon-specific MB 124-320-35-30 units, and there are various parts houses here in the US that are selling the Sachs in the $115 range.

Also, can anyone confirm that the front struts are in fact specific to the wagon?

Best Regards,
Rob
