M113 Spark Control Question Megasquirt
Any one familiar with the M113 ignition system. Do both plugs fire at the same time. Any Ideas for setting up an aftermarket ECU like Megasquirt.

The spark is delayed a little for the second spark. I do not know if this would have to be done though. You might be able to run both at the same time. As far as the aftermarket ecu is concerned I know that higher end stuff has this in it. My Tec3r has dual spark tables in it. I have never used it but it is there. I would imagine that AEM and Motec etc also have functions for this.

It looks like you are right about the max is 6 cyl. I am sure that other systems could do this though. If you have enough money then Motec looks like you could run two cdi modules possibly in parallel. This would cost a lot of money though. AEM seems to have the same idea with cdi modules. I would just call around to different companies and see what is possible and not.
What car are you planning on running this in? |

I looked in EPC on the M113 Engine there are 16 plugs but only 8 coils. Are there one or two pulses doing to the coils. How is the second spark timing controlled?
