oh F@(K this tiny b:?ch ass k03 turbo. I myt as wel just go with the t3/t4 with an external wastegate and limit the boost to 4 psi. That way it wil only come on boost at WOT. that way i can save gas with easy driving and not use a charge cooler coz it doesnt heat up as much.

junaid man, do not port nothing.. when i say head , i am talking abt the fuel dizy head. and i still say lookinto fitting a cis system from a volvo turbo car. what u seriously need to do is spend a few nights reading on how to turbo charge a cis car. try the vw golf forums as many have turbo charged their 4 cyl golfs with mechanical cis.

u have a lot of learning to do before u take on this project. each and every one of us here did that.

Jay is spot on but I still think that if you use the stock CIS the easiest way is with additional injectors + injector controller to enrich the mixture under boost.

ok guys i get it.

but really, at 4psi? do i really need to make any changes for that low boost? i mean im not even asking for 0.4 bar. or a 13 sec car. i just want that damn turbo on ther right now!!! when i want bigger boost then i can think of making changes. i have seen a guy that boosted the stock system on 4-5psi and he isnt haveing any issues.

ok , im wasting you guys time. sorry for the trouble. you guys are just giving me wonderful suggestions and im just talking nonsense.

let me get that thing on and i will let you guys know how it goes.

btw, does anyone know what the air fuel ratios look like for the stock 190e 2.0 8v?

if the car is tuned up propper AFRs should be like any other NA car. at WOT from 2000 to 4000 rpm at around 13to 14.And over 4000 RPM u should see 12 12 + AFR. what u need to do my friend is get a boost gauge, a wide band and install the turbo kit. set the boost and try and setup the cis to flow more. i think u have some sort of mechanical controller on the side of the Fuel dizy that can be adjusted.

ok.thats valuable info. Has anyone done adjustments to their eha valve and measured their AFR afterwards using an open loop system? My car doesnt have o2 sensor.im trying 2 get an idea of how much adjustment wil yield what result. Ie 1/4 turn enriches and makes the mixture 14 at idle, 12 at part throttle and 10 at WOT and 1/2 turn makes it 14,11 and 8.
I wouldnt want 2 do the adjustment myself.sounds like a hectic job.just want 2 knw what 2 tell my merc mech 2 do.

without external help you wont be able to get the right AFR in the mid range.. i've tried turning more than 1/4 turns.. but its useless in mid range rpm.. dunno why. i even had the car idling @ 12:1 AFR and still ran 18:1 AFR @ 2500~3500RPM then the AFR starts dropping till it reaches 10:1 @ 5500RPM.

We started like you want to start.. and like jayrash is suggesting you do.. get the wideband O2 kit, the boost gauge , install the turbo.. make sure you have no leaks.. Do not rev the car just yet until you make sure your have proper AFR. lean AFR might cause detonation. detonation might cause overheating.. overheating the combustion chamber might lead to pre-ignition and you don't want that.

Once everything is installed and functioning.. you will feel the turbo power on the high end range.. and once you feel that you will want it on the low end and the mid range.

to do that.. you need to alter your mid range AFR. and for that you will need the additional injectors and the controller like Joreto said. our project
300SEL Twin Turbo Project.

is on hold for now till we get the 2 items (he injectors holders and the SS-AIC-A2L)

about the gearbox .. i don't know if its the same as the 300SEL but in our case there is an adjustment you can do on the vacuum modulator to make the gear shifts the way it should.

====================
Everything i say is derived from my own experience which is by no means long or versatile. and i will happily stand corrected.

yes i hav read about the vacuum modulator on the gearbox. Tel me,what turbo are u using? Something that spools by 2500? The t3/t4 that im going 2 use has an a/r rating of 0.63 so it would reach max boost between 3500-4000 rpm. And did u adjust the static fuel pressure in the tower next 2 the fuel distributor or did u adjust the EHA valve?

the EHA i have is not adjustable. i adjust the screw near the distributor.

i have an advise for you..

read the first 3 threads in the performance paddock .. post by post. i did.. and they are very informative.

read a book called Maximum Boost by Corky Bell .. if anyone is interested in the pdf version of this book just pm me.

Going to throw in a recommendation on that book too. That and Street Turbocharging by Mark Warner, very informative and good reference information.

actually you remove the screw and under the screw there is an allen bolt which adjust the EHA. When I first turboed the 16v I used the EHA to enrich the mixture, it works for low boost but it's no optimal.
