Need bigger photos!

I'm interested to see the results. What configuration are you going for? 6 > 2?

Now that I've reverted back to an NA engine plan, I'm going to have to get some custom headers made as well. But I'll be paying someone to do mine. And I'm pretty sure they are going to hate me and charge me accordingly for the job. See, being in Australia, my car is RHD and has that dirty great big steering box on the exhaust side...........

Headers are hard.

I will get some bigger photos when I am further along. I swore I was going to just jet the setup made and not try for equal length but here I am sweating over an inch or two between runners. I should have something together by the end of the weekend.

I am also going to install a turbo in to my e320 m104
but I would like to stay with the stock header?
Do you think it is possible to keep the stock intact while adding 2-1 a curved pipe back to the position of the turbine.

pl. Hard to find a good stainless steel header work shop around here and a cast iron header cost a lot.

It might be possible but it would be less than ideal. It is simply a matter of can you get the bends and piping to fit. Why not just order a manifold from Roman or if you want I could make one for you when I am done with mine. If you want to do it on the cheap I could weld a log manifold together like turbo e320 did fairly easily using schedule 40 pipe.

progress on back 3.

should have the basic layout done today. So far it is possible to get in and out of the car without removing the engine. I think that I might have to take the bolts out of both engine mounts and slide the engine over a little to do it though.

Thanks,
The back 3 have taken a lot longer trying to get the collector in the right spot. If we only had rack and pinion this would be a lot easier.

final tack together.

Can get it in and out right now. Will have to see how down pipe extensions change that.

As you can see if we had rack and pinion this would be a lot easier and pipe config could be longer and better. I would say that I may do this in the future.

I don't have an M104 car that these are Worthy of, but when/if you make some I may just have to put a set on the shelf!

Thank you for that. I have been pleased with how they are turning out. I can not wait to see the power gains and hear them. Runners are all within 2 inches. All I need to do is shorten #2 by an inch and they are all within an inch or less. 20.5 to 21 and #2 is 22 inches. I would change a few things doing them again and N/A smaller primaries would be much easier and tighter to the engine.

Got them on last night enough to drive up and down the alley at the shop. They sound really good. Very tight fit. Getting the down pipes to the rest of my exhaust was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I also have my oil lines to my filter on that side of the engine which does not help. Had to make a heat shield. Need o2 sensor bungs and some adjustment of the down pipes for better fit. Should be driving today.
