lol, thats exactly what i used. 110mm to match the size of the airflow meter. will take some pictures of my setup this afternoon. im actually very pleased with the way it turned out. this also allowed me to have a seperate crankcase breather system that vents to the rear of the engine. took the car for a test run last night and she feels like a fire breathing dragon. tuned the fuel in just right coz now i have easy access to the fuel distributor. no more huge airbox to wiggle off every time i want to adjust the fuel ratio.

as a side note, i cured my excessively noisy tappet issue. there seemed to be a missing EGR valve or something. there were three holes on the exhaust manifold. plugged them with some screws and now the tappets arent so noisy. checked the oil and its ugly black. going to do the old diesel trick and change the filter and oil. some guys at benzworld say that the diesel grade 15w 40 helps quieten the tappets.

funny ur going thru the same thing i did on my old m110 280ce. i used drain pipes but i ran with no filter what so ever. i know ill be bashed for this here and yes u have every right. but it was an old car still.

get ur self a set of 4deg offset camshaft pins and advance ur cam for serious lowend pull. or retard and get a stunning power band fromm 5000 to 7000 limiter. but u will have no low end. i ran my car like that and topspeed was a true 230km/h in forth on the rev limiter.
fromm 500 to 7200 the car felt it had a turbo pushing it on.

here it is. notice the intake and breather hose

yo jayrash, thanks for the advice.

i cant seem to rev the car past 4500rpm whilst driving( not enough road and gears change then)

and when i rev the car at standstill, it hits a flat spot at 4500rpm then pulls suddenly til 7000rpm. what does this mean? timing chain stretch

Thats nice Jun,I'm thinking of moving my intake to drivers side of engine, and do away with cross over.
When making intakes I rub the insides with armoral to make air fly faster.Never used dryer duct though.Nice idea.

is your car left hand drive?

thanx dude. you just gave me an idea. the duct tape is only on the outside. coz the flex tube is white and it looked like a toilet under my hood.lol. going to go home and smooth out the inside.

i used a piece of mutton cloth, folded twice and draped over the airflow meter as my filter. the clamp around the tube keeps it in place.ghetto fabulous, hehehe

Yes I was wondering anyone with a M104 ever figure crossover tube actual diameter? If it is a big restriction it would be better to make a new cold air setup,on the drivers side of engine.

would you be able to dial in the fuel for the extra air? My car doesnt have o2 sensor and it needed about a quarter turn on the fuel distributor 2 match the extra air. Is the m104 as adjustable as the m110? Only problem im having is it isnt getting enuf fuel at the top end(highway speeds) my previous car(m102) had an eha valve for that. Im not sure what 2 adjust for top end fuel in this car. If i enrich the mixture for the highway, then its too rich for the low end pull i have right now

I can change timing and mixture with a resistor, but 12.5 AFR is all my HFM system will run.
But I was hoping someone could do the math to see if the oval cross over tube is restrictive.
