No Spare in C32! Has MBZ lost their minds?

I previously posted and was disappointed that the 2002 C32 AMG did not have Xenon lights standard and could not believe that the V6 had a gas guzzler tax. Now I find out that the car has no spare tire! What gives? The tires are not run flat nor have tire pressure monitors. The C32 comes with a tire inflator pump kit. I also saw a picture of the next E-Class (W211) with the Tire Kit. Will spare tires become a thing of the past? That is not progress!

When you drive one, you forget about the spare! That car is awesome!!! I drove one and am still smiling about it.

The spares with the inflator actually work well. I have played with one on an SLK that comes with a pump. Once the tire has been used, it still folds back up when you let out the air.

It saves space. I guess that is why they do it.
