Intrax Springs

Actually I have a set of Intrax Springs For the W124's. They are like new, and a pretty purple color to boot, hehehe

Negative rear camber is the ONLY drawback to my changeover of my E420 to E500 OEM springs, OEM sway bars, and Bilstein sport shocks. Since the awful self leveling system is not present, to lower 500 springs aren't compensated for. This adjustable rear arm may be just what I need. That notwithstanding, I am not experiencing tire wear.

Thumbs up H&R lowering springs

H&R lowering springs and Bilstein Sport front shocks were installed on the E500 today.

The front was lowered by 1/2" and the rear by 3/4". The car does not have that characteristic 500E/E500 "nose-down" attitude any longer.

Rear camber was within 0.1 degree of where it was prior to lowering and within factory specs. Thank-goodness no adjustable camber arms needed $$$$

Surprisingly, they were not able to adjust front camber back to within factory specs. At -1.4 degrees, it is -0.1 degrees outside the range. I don't think I'll worry too much about that variance.

A brief drive today over the usual pothole-ridden city streets did not reveal any unpleasant characteristics. I like the immediate dampening of rebound that now occurs.

Hmmm...those 10" OZ Racing rear rims might still fit.

BTW, I've recently come across a couple of neat websites that have technical info for Mercedes-Benz autos:
alldata lists factory service bulletins for the E500/500E plus other Mercedes-Benz autos.
Caesi Online provides the factory alignment specs for Mercedes-Benz autos.

Did you try the original guy we all talk about on this post…

ATATEXAN

1. I think it’s down or out, because I had it save on one of my favorite sites and now can’t access it.
2. Did you look at http://www.benzboy.com/
3. It’s a little less in price, I’d ordered a set early this week and waiting for it to come. It’s not an on-line order site, I just send an email to the guy and he sends a reply back with PayPal information option.

Thai GI sends…
