I see an 94 E500 Wagon for sale?
Hi
Is it real? I can't seem to find any information about a wagon. I do not know what market it was intended for yet. Thanks Gary |

No such thing. Either a misprint or someone's project car. Neil? Have you been busy again?

A small norwegian company called Hauk Motors imports cars for sale from Germany, converts cars, and sell parts. www.mercedesdeler.no is their homepage, and if the E500 wagon on the pictures above is from that homepage, they've probably converted it themselves. They've also converted a E220D to a 1996 E50 AMG with 400 hp and a top speed of 300 km/h. Pretty nice.

Hehe... 500CE? That would be nice. By the way, this guy at www.mercedesdeler.no has currently started on a new conversion-project. He's converting a 1995 E220D to a 2000 E55 AMG with a compressor, and somewhere between 475-550 hp. Can't wait to see the finished result...

I imagine you'll need 4-matic (and maybe some studded tires) to keep all that power in check on those icy roads..

I WANT ONE!
What a beautiful job! Did they put a TE rear clip onto a 500E, then add the rear flares? That's my guess...unbelievable.

Michael, I think you're right. Find a 500E with rear-end damage, and graft the rear clip of the wagon to it.
Having both the 500E and 300TE side by side in the garage, that seems to be the most economical way. I WISH I could have put the M119 engine in, but way too much fabrication. I wonder if we could import such a beast . . . She's a beauty . . . :-) neil 1988 360TE AMG 1993 500E |

Maybe someone with too much money could get a 300TE and somehow put the new AMG 5.5L V-8 in it!
470hp for a 300TE... wanna be an a**h***, slap a 230TE badge.. (I believe they do exist) The drivetrain would probably break down in no time though hehehe.. These W124 cars look really good in station wagon form! Especially with its boxy look! Yeah, 500CE and E500 Convertible.. would kick ass BTW, Wagon lovers.. I'm sure some of you have seen the Renntech E60 4-Matic wagon. Pretty bad picture.. but it sure looks bad ass!! |

Well, I guess it's time to find a 500E that was rear-ended, and a W124 wagon that was involved in a frontal collision.
What do you think? $30-$35K to make such a beast? If I was retired and had access to a shop, I'd do everything but the final body work. Hmmmm . . . But then again, maybe we can import an E55 wagon in the next 2-3 years. . . :-) neil |
