Also, i need these 2 questions answered

1) any links or places to buy the injectors?
I remember turbobandit selling them

2) Do i need to get a flywheel and a sensor?
As far as im aware, the 300-24 M104 doesnt need those

-diyautotune.com or ebay sell injectors in many sizes or you can take injectors from any other car in junkyard

-you need a trigger wheel , mount it on the crank pulley is the best place

and check this thread on 190rev for the injectors modification (its for m103 but i think will be the same for m104)

I am selling my 720cc injectors that have been in my car for about 2 months. Good for about 500-600 hp on pump gas and about 400-450 on e85. Matched set low ohms. 8 hole Rochesters from Marren Injection. They idle fine at 650 rpm. Although it is a little close to minimum injector time.

thanks Yzn!
That explained alot for me

I did some research and found this, I need to get ev6 injectors with a pn on the side that starts with 0280155 or 0280156 and should have a minimum of 30lb/hr or 315cc/min. Do i need high or low impedance injectors?

Injectors Online - Product Catalogue
Xenocron Tuning: Precision Injectors and Accessories, 310cc, 440cc, 525cc, 650cc, 680cc, 780cc, 880cc, 1000cc for Honda and Acura Applications (recomeended by Nick.ged and roman, rated at 650cc and low impedance)
Diyautotune only has EV1 style injectors

Are they a direct fit for the late M104 EFI fuel rail?

They fit the fuel rail fine with clips and the stock intake holes. Same diameter. I do not know if the rail will bolt down in the stock location though. They the same length but the body is fatter. I have custom mounting on my rail due to my intake. I do not know if the stock rail bolts to your intake directly anyways.

well, using this calculator, i figured out what cc injectors i should be looking at

Injector Size Calculator

Target engine HP: 450
Since im eventually turbo charging the engine, BSFC: 0.60
# of Injectors: 6
Max duty cycle: 0.80 (80%)
Fuel pressure: 43.5

Whats required:
56.25lb/hr or 591.19cc/min

whipplem104's injectors are more than enough but should i get low impedance or high impedance injectors?

As far as im aware, the late M104 EFI fuel rail is a direct fit to the K-Jet M104 intake, one more question, im guessing these injectors where used in a early M104?

I noticed that you used 43.5 psi for your calculations. The regulator that is stock with the 104 fuel rail is rated for 3.6 to 4.2 bar, 52-62psi. Unless you're planning to swap for a 3 bar regulator, you'll actually have more headroom than you've calculated.

Thanks for pointing that out!

Recalculating the injector CC required
(assuming 52psi)

Target engine HP: 450
Since im eventually turbo charging the engine, BSFC: 0.60
# of Injectors: 6
Max duty cycle: 0.80 (80%)
Fuel pressure: 52

Whats required:
51.45lb/hr or 540.71cc/min

(assuming 62psi)

Target engine HP: 450
Since im eventually turbo charging the engine, BSFC: 0.60
# of Injectors: 6
Max duty cycle: 0.80 (80%)
Fuel pressure: 52

Whats required:
47.12lb/hr or 495.19cc/min

are you going to control both the spark and fuel or just fuel?, if fuel only you don't need trigger wheel or sensor just take a tach signal from the coil

For the time being, i will be doing just fuel, it would make things easier to diagnose and correct if i only play with one thing at a time

I would HIGHLY recommend to do fuel and spark at the same time. It will all be a learning curve, no benefit to splitting it in half. IF you do both you can be very conservative on spark while getting the fuel sorted. Otherwise you will be fighting timing the whole time you are trying to tune fuel and you will eventually have to install and tune spark control before you can fine tune fuel anyway. I'd all but guarantee you it will be easier, less risky with the motor, and it will run better if you do both at the same time.
