W124 Turbo Project HX35w

Hi everyone. Please be patient my bad grammar.

So this is the first times to post on the PeachParts.
I read more than year. Now I try share my turbop project.

My car is first generation of W124. Just 300E.
But replace the M103 with M104 3200cc engine.
setup Front suspension with B8 SPRINT V36-0365
Rear with B8 SPRINT B36-1470.
so replace the original spring with Eibach.

I replaced many and many wheel. so This picture no final update.

So I choose the HX35W because so easy to repair on my land.
And prefect compress map to run 350-450HP.
My point just for make surprise people on the street.
so Boost up around 3300 RPM. That's mean around 80-100 Km/hr

Now I collect the part almost done.
Maybe Next weeks to install on my car. And I will update again.

They are most efficient at higher pressure ratios than I'd expect one to run on 3L-3.2L. That said, I get grief for running a really small turbo. My spool is awesome, though.

hx35 is quite big turbo for small engine ,i think you are talking about hy35 or hx30
if i were him i will get the hx35 without the internal wastegate and put an external one.

Yeah, good catch. After googling the map, I think I'd have remembered that one compared to the others I looked over.

It actually looks like it will do what he's after but like the other holsets it has a lot of "pressure ratio headroom". Peak efficiency tops at a P/R of 2.5 though so it may just spend a decent amount of time near the sweet spot. I'm curious to see what RPM it spools at on a 3.2L

Details we need more details....

Thank you everybody.

I choose add the fuel injector 1200cc x2 for fill more by Splite Second controller box.
I using the 1200cc x 2 because when one of injector default, my engine still alive
so I don't care to adjust the timing and maybe the wastegate maybe replace by external wastegate. That's my fault to using the internal.

First I think about the standalone. But so very high cost to using and every difficult to tune it by myself.

This map for 400HP. I consider about the HP target between 400HP and 450Hp.

First I testing my car on the dyno for know before and after HP.

Blow that my result.
Corrected Power 209 BHP
Engine power 198.2 BHP
Wheel Power 156.0 BHP
and Torque 311.4 Nm

Next day I will show all my parts.

holset are made from high boost diesel engine, thats why i said he should run hx35 not th hx35w as these internal wastegate could be rated at 2.5bar
i think on 3.2L it will get full boost at 3000rpm or lower
you should try it , holset are great cheap and reliable turbos

Meh, I like my little turbo. With scatter plots of my datalogs it shows that I'm making boost any time I'm over 20% throttle. It starts building @1800 RPM. In my heavy AWD wagon, that's exactly what I want.

Hi everyone. Sorry to lately update.

My project running now. Today I send her to the garage.
Tomorrow made the header and install all part in my car.
First I using the standard pipe exhaust because I waiting the electronic exhaust cutout.
That's for good the silent and loud sound. Sure for the best performance when I open the extra flow exhaust.

Maybe 22/11/2012 completely. And I will setup the map in the additional ECU by myself.

uhm not at all. I find a part to install and told the shop what i need. but it 's not easy to control everything. So the header and the way of pipe not my wish but that good for us. The service in Thailand are not too high.

so the all electronic were installed by myself. The shop installed all part of engine.(I can not do.)

Now the tuning of fuel and all not complete. It still 70% at all.

When I checked out the map for the holsets, it seemed like they would be more best for less sized motor operating bigger volumes of increase. They are most effective at greater stress percentages than I'd anticipate one to run on 3L-3.2L. That said, I get sadness for operating a really little turbocompresseur. My reel is amazing, though.
