Question replacing steering wheel

I have 1978 450 sl mercedes and I would like to replace the original steering wheel with a wooden one {sportline} made in Italy. Could I find an adaptor and where? Or could I modifiy the new wheel to fit the existing hardware. Thanks Larry

Larry- you may get a better response in the Tech or Performance forum (vs. here at Hot Rods)

Congratulations...

Aloha Larry,

Is the Grant kit for a 5 hole wheel? Would you share the numbers for anybody else that might be considering changing the steering wheel?

Thanks,

changed company to Momo

I canceled that order to grant and ordered right from momo because it was a 6hole adaptor while the grant was a 5 with another piece to change the 5 to a 6. I hope that makes sense. The part number is 6005. It can be ordered by any autoparts that carry momo. I hope that clears thing up. Thanks for the reply. Larry
