Messed Up 300E Trans + Others

Hey people,
I was driving about 10 mph when my girlfriend accidently shifted my car from drive to Park to transmission. The car made made some loud clicking noise. Whats broken? I recently gave my 99 S420 for detailing and coolant flush to the Dealer and I wanted to know if the $269 cost was worth it. I usually detail my own cars with the zymol "cocunut butter and almond extract" concotions but I felt like splurging. Plus, my mechanic was doing my oil change for my e320 and he said that the leak came from this oil seal, said it was 2 days work. My question is, what is the consequence of driving with a fault oily seal other than staining my garage floor

89 300E I treat like the workhorse that it is
97 E320 Filled her with Mobil 1 TriSynthetic last Friday
99 S420 I like the feeling of driving a tank
96 SL600 No other way to impress in LA
