Do the W123 280E and 230E share the same flywheel?
Hi all,
I've been looking for a spare flywheel for my manual 280E track car. So I can get it lightened without having to take my car apart, until I'm ready to install it. Also if the lightening goes wrong, I won't have destroyed my only flywheel. Anyway, I've come across a flywheel out of a 230E, and wondered if it was the same flywheel? Does anyone here know if they are the same? Cheers Frank.

I would say yes. There are 3 seperate flywheel part numbers in use, but they are the same for both engines.
