My tech friend and I can't seem to get exactly the right adjustment on this thing. When I first got the car, the shift points were extremely low and a bit too hard. ( I still think we need to reduce the pressure a notch). But I can't seem to get the precisely right place on the rod for the shift points. If we move it too far, it goes nuts, hanging in gear so long that you're forced to shift it by totally letting off. It will then shift right through second gear headed immediately for third. If we turn it back too far, she barely wants to rev at all. Yeah, I know, somewhere in between there is what we're looking for... I guess what I'm asking is, have you guys with these tranny bodies got yours tuned the way you like it? BTW, it's the Renntech piece, and this isn't a new area to either of us (I mean that we regularly adjust these for the best shift points and firmness). Are there any other idiosyncracies or adjustments to the first gear start piece ? Just looking for your experience, TIA for your help, allen.
