me again,How m104 intake manifold works
My 99 S320 has a wreid looking manifold compared to other engines.half is plastic, the other part aluminum.I want to know where the air goes when past the throttle.Trying to make sure I'm getting the coldest nitrous charge possible.or I will have to drill in manifold and multi port inject it.my throttle body turns white with frost, but I don't know if the cylinder gets this cold charge. The intake has the strange aluminum part diving under manifold. also wondering also why some forced induction guys make their own.

on another forum I asked someone, they said its large to act like a high rise manifold on a v8.Well I got that part, just need to know why some guys build one.

I think you are putting to much thought into it. If you are running a single nozzle just put it at the base of the throttle plate. It is a resonance intake so there is a flap in the center of the plastic plenum. It effectively changes the resonance of the intake. Look up hemholtz.
The reason that myself and a few others built intake manifolds is for either high boost or larger runners. I personally do not need the resonance to build torque and gain on the high end with the additional flow. With nitrous this is not necessary. The only reason to run port nitrous is that you are running more nitrous than a single jet can or more even distribution. |

again I'm wondering has any of you turbo guys install a oil trap,or catch can for your blow by gases, and done away with factory air injection and egr.I have a air injection fault its a expensive valve,I'd rather be gone with the whole mess.gaain I have the p0410 code, and no full throttle, unless using nitrous

Have you tried cleaning the valves in the air pump? Also check the K28 air injection pump relay The oil catch can is an easy DIY.... I ran it for some time, but my engine is tight with zero blow by even under boost, so I removed it:
