Thumbs up Magazine Articles

The "Mercedes Enthusuast" magazine Issue #6, April 2002 has an interesting artilce (6 pages with Photos) on the W124 E500 posing as a buyers guide ("Devil in Disguise" )as well as an article on the New E500. I picked up my copy in the LA airport over the weekend, but the large bookstores (Borders, Barnes & Noble) here in the east have been carrying it as well. The mag is published in England. This issue is well worth picking up. Happy reading!

Mr. T-

Just spoke to Joe at PDA-he sends his regards. When I asked him if anyone would potentially be able to show me "The Line" at Lime Rock on the 12th, he suggested I bring you along! He also mentioned some maniacal station wagon you had at one point-I want more details.

So get to work-I know it's tax season, but won't you need a break by the 12th?

station wagon

Hi Michael-
Joe at PDA and I go back a long way- from running modified 240Zs with the Z club (joe was President) to SCCA racing - also Z cars in C production and then GT-2 . Joe Helped me modify my 300ZX Twin Turbo street car.

Anyway my wagon was a 95.5 Audi S-6 Quattro, 5 speed, which I modified with the help of Joe Hoppen (Hoppen Motorsports in Fla) so that I could run it in the One Lap. The usual mods- new ECU, S-8 brakes, larger turbos, RS-2 manifold, BBS wheels, stiffer springs, exhaust etc. Would run 1.04s at Limerock nad still get to VT in the snow!

Just a note to say that Mercedes Enthsuiast magazine now has it's own website at http://www.mercedesenthusiast.co.uk/
We also have facilities for ordering subscriptions and back issues online. The site is currently only a support to the printed magazine, but we do have plans for expansion in the future.
