It's making it into a car , nobody but you can fix... no one will buy it because its a modified engine that no one can get all these special parts your adding on for your amusement... I guess you got alot of time on your hands...why not put a V 12 in it and then you can go faster too...

That's news to me, I never knew I intended to sell my car?
And im sorry to inform you but doing efi conversions on these older cars will be the only way enthusiast like myself and others on the forum will be able to enjoy these cars in the future when fuel prices are thru the roof, and original MB ignition and fuel components are impossible to find.. IE.. EZL's

A M113 AMG will be fine enough for me on my 2nd car.

Any updates?

I'm looking into a megasquirt conversion as well and starting to gather some parts. Will be following this closely. I found that same wheel/sensor mount on ebay a while ago, but got the 60-2 instead.

Would you be willing to share the dimensions of your injector adapter? Was it difficult to machine? I have a lathe/mill combo that I'm still learning how to use, and would like to give it a shot if you're willing to share.

The 60-2 will work just as good. I went with the 36-1 because it just seemed to me a more common timing tooth profile. Nothing that cant be changed in the software.

Update wize, I would love to say everything is a success and the car has been running fantastic on megasquirt, but sorry to burst everyone's bubble.

This summer has been quite a feat. But some good has come from it. Ive been building a new garage to keep my rides in tip top shape. And hopefully begin modifying. Weather is getting really cold up here lately, but hopefully this weekend I can get my 4 post lift installed, and heck, maby mount the crank sensor bracket... Cross fingers. lol Ive been dreaming of the day for a car hoist for a decade. Its coming true.. woo!

Other then that, ive just been collecting different sensors and wiring tidbits to make as clean as a install as possible. I haven't had time to machine the fuel rail. but with winter coming soon, ill spend more time in the machine shop.

I nearly finished up my fuel injector test stand. I tried it out with some spare injectors I had. Works great!..

I'm not sure yet but may end up selling off the MB specific EFI parts as my SEC was just rear ended this morning and my other car is a diesel.

Poking around to see what other cars might be available, maybe find another SE or SEL to swap the power train into, but may well end up in another.

Regardless, I have an extra pair of blank fuel rails cut but not machined yet, if they would be of interest.

Sorry to hear about your accident trouble.

Seems to be a lot of that happening to fellow board members.

Regards,
Eric
