111 Kompressor clutch.
Can anyone tell me if the electro/mechanical clutch on the 111 Kompressor will
fit the snout of the 271 Kompressor?? Thanks. |

Has this been confirmed by actual test fitting? The rough dimensional drawings suggest it may be possible.
From my research ( I just got a 99 C230 Kompressor ) The 99 / 00 C230 ( W202 ) used a large diameter clutch on an Eaton M62 ( supercharger generation unknown ) 01 and up C230 New body and ? year SLK used no clutch, small pulley on an Eaton M45 ( supercharger generation unknown ) From spec sheets here CAPA : Eaton Superchargers The M62 looks to be just a longer version of the M45. The M62 was used on 3800 Buick / Pontiac, 92 - 93 used gen 2 and 94 - 95 used gen 3. 96 and up got a M90. Ford Thunderbird 3.8 SC used an Eaton but I don't know the size. |

No need to test fit. It is a completely different front drive assembly. You can not simply swap pulleys. It is not like an aftermarket or non clutched assembly. Same with the lysholm 32 and 55 amg motors. You cannot simply remove the clutch pulley and bolt on a non clutch pulley.
Besides if you put a 4 inch clutched pulley on a blower from the 271 engine it would make about 0 pounds of boost unless you had a bicycle wheel on the front of the crank to spin it. |

I was thinking more along the lines of the entire nose assembly not just the pulley or clutch it's self.
Yes, large blower pulley = low / no boost but a double pulley jack shaft should take care of that. Though with all that work, a larger SC would be a better route. |

I see.
The answer is still no. Completely different size. etc. I have both in my garage at home. Not even close to the same physical case size to transfer the front case and snout. |
