What is my FIRST upgrade (1994 S500) ????????

Curious to ask what the best, biggest bang for the buck modification would be suitable to my 1994 500S. Keep in mind I just sold an SRT8 Challenger, AKA, a Hemi powered E-Class.

Also please remind me of the rule a mechanic should never, ever forget. A mechanic should never let anyone work on his/her car (even though I have a crappy back injury that has kept me from more than 20 minutes upright for 11 months now).
I broke this rule, and was presented with a total fail by Benz and Beamers in San Pedro CA. I'm embarrassed for them. Had to take the car back five times so far, yet it is still not done, and they are still waiting for another part from the excellent vendor I found and turned them onto, to replace the one I sourced, and they immediatly lost. Had to source all but one part because their vendor has ZERO whereas the giant warehouse I found in about two hours of research stocks everything at half the price. They even sold to me at jobber directly from a warehouse counter, and one of their source, and sales reps found the impossible "eBay only" stuff for less. Let me ask this rhetorical question: Speedo is not operating so you sell the customer a VSS, but no, the gauge itself has miraculously failed as well so now in addition the shop informs you you need a new gauge cluster. You the customer tell them that as a mechanic you know that the likelyhood of both failing at the same time is about nil, but you tell them hey you have been a parts changer instead of a technician at times, and yes,now go ahead install that cluster they just happened to have. You pick up the car and the first time you drive at night you find that ok the speedo works but now has no lighting. Shop tells customer, "well we tested it and it was working when we put it in". My instructions to them when I brought the car was, make sure all the lights and switches are good, cause I don't know what half of them did. So they take apart the console woodwork to replace the passenger front window switch that had fallen thru. I get the car back and the shift indicator window light does not light, the two vent opening wheel lights are not lit, and as I asked what the seatbelt extender/retractor button was it fell thru. I know the removed all switches because they showed me the burl wood panel out of the car and devoid of switches. Once again you got it, they could not source it so they added a little JB WELD were necessary and reinstalled without checking anything apparently. I owned a shop, and we actually checked stuff so we would not embarrass ourselves, or by extension the customer. I feel so stupid for letting someone other than me work on my car because I just knew it could be a fiasco, and an extremely expensive one. Two sending units, cluster, light bulbs, glue, headlight wiper motor, and two blades, one plastic hood emblem, one window switch, and lastly INSTALLATION ONLY of replacement hood, drivers seatbelt extender/retractor, and drivers door window regulator assembly $3400.00.
Never, never, ever again!!!

Somebody used to make an air intake that supposedly gave you 10 hp. Renntech maybe?

A 92 ECU for it's WOT fuel enrichment. By far the most important mod. Next I'd eliminate the stock resonator. Leave the muffler in back alone unless your're totally hardcore.
