Hey all, I got my Performance Products magazine in today and noticed a Power+Chips performance chip in the mag and it caught my eye. It's $225 or something around those lines, don't have the magazine by me but it said 10%-15% more HP, from 326 HP that would be of course atleast 32 more HP that its promising, and 12-16% more torque which would be 42 more ft/lbs of torque. It's a little hard to believe that a chip could boost HP and torque that much. Is anyone familiar with the chip? Worth it? Did it increase what it promised? Let me know!

forgot to include that it's for the 92 500E, that might help

If those chips are the same as the PAD chips, then a couple of members tried it out and claimed they got no increases as verified by time slips and G-Tech or both.

You might wanna try a search for PAD.

hey thanks for the response...i've always admired your 500, but never could find your e-mail address to e-mail you about it. Do you have a chip in yours? BTW...how much was your ASR defeat switch?

I've run another 500E in the 1/4 mile, and we ran the length of the track together dead even-me with a chip, him without. I was probably carrying 200 lbs (between my stereo and big fat butt) more than the other car, so maybe the chip's good for 3-4%?

Save the money for track tires!
