Brake upgrade options for 1988 190E 8v with 15" OEM wheels
Either the W201 15" wheels or other Mercedes 15" wheels (like from the W124)

I did 400e brakes (rotors, calipers, booster and master cylinder) on two of my 190s.
They should fit under stock wheels iirc. And wil stop your car on a dime. |

Everything from a w124 bolts up to the w201 hub and it follows r129 and 500E stuff wil too. I have found no difference between the facelift e320 4 piston brakes and the ones fitted to "regular" v8 cars.
All the brake parts on our car have been purchased as 1995 E320 parts. There is a breakdown of part numbers on w124 performance. With the w201 master and booster we have a good pedal feel and bias for our car which is very front heavy with the 2.6 and no interior. Id also recommend Porterfield pads as they seem to be the only good company that makes performance pads for w124s. Anything that fits in the 15" wheel will be more than enough to stop a 190. I even had a 124 with the same setup and it was plenty. |
