1996 C36 AEM FIC 8
Hello, I have a 1996 C36 I am turbocharging. Have you guys tried using a aem fic 8 for controlling injectors and maf? I am looking to keep it simple not wanting to add trigger wheel and I am happy with keeping stock sensors if possible. Installing a GTX35, log style manifold 2.5" intercooler piping, 60lb injectors, 50/60mm wastegate, 50mm bov, and front mount intercooler. Also looking for tips on keeping transmission happy.

Step 1: Remove the 3.6
2: Store 3.6 for safe keeping. 3: Install a 3.2 4: Add turbo. From what I've seen on the net, a turbo 3.6 won't hold head gaskets due to the bores being so large. |

I'm sort of surprised to see these still around, reminds me of all the SAFC type piggybacks everyone ran in the 90s. Thanks for the link, I was looking for a slightly more modern way to add fuel to a Toyota 1G-GTE, I'll have to see if it can work with my ancient MAF. Not that that helps you in any way.
1996 C36 is 722.6 right? There are AMG shift solenoids from the V8 Supercharged cars that are not insanely expensive. .6 is a pretty strong trans, you just have to take care of it. A new conductor plate, and a new electrical connector and seal on the case along with fresh fluid will go a long way in a .6. Also, buy a $500 3.2 on car-part and save the 3.6. 3.2 will be stronger anyway.
