Thumbs up 500E Rear sauspension noise solved, finally

A quick follow up to a post a few weeks ago. After replacing the sway bar link, the air cell, the shock bushings and finally the right rear shock on my 93 500E, without solving the noise at right rear at speeds under 40mph, I returned the "new" shock to Phil at mercedesshop who kindly replaced it with one that was not defective. I could tell when I pulled this one out of the box that it would be the fix. The action on the shock empty of hydraulic fluid was silky smoth taking very little pressure to extend or to contract the empty shock. Now with it on the car the ride is firm and noise free. After nearly two months of f****ing with it.Thanks to Michael for the encouragement to look to the new parts I had already replaced again.Mark
