260 or 320???
Hey,
I have an old 88 260E and it is developing more and more problems as time goes by. I was thinking of trading it in for a 94 or 95 E320. Good or bad idea? What are some typical problems with the E320? It is still W124, so do you think it will turn into a lemon, too? Matt

I'd been doing some reasearch on my own and I found the 124's from later years had two major problems: the head gasket and the engine wiring harness. By that time, the AC system and the valve seals of the earlier 124's was improved/corrected. If the above mentioned problems have been addressed already you should have a nice long lasting vehicle.
This was discussed before, do a search. By the way, the new E's are coming out soon. The "old E's" (210's), from 96-2002, should come down in prices very soon too. If you like that body style.

I'd also include the 93 300E, which also has the 3.2 liter M104 engine. This is an E320 in disguise.
I found that there's a price difference between the 93 300E and the 94/95 E320's just because people with 300E's don't know what they have.
