Yeah, I paid $350 for the muffler + installation.
It looks great on the car but the M102 2.3L I-4 isn't exactly a great engine and it sounds worse than my diesel.

I really think I might just take the Lorinser muffler off and install the stock pipe for the 230E.. would reduce the low-frequency 'humm' on the freeway too.

I don't know.. im not a big fan of noise I guess. It does sound 'cool'. The reason the muffler was replaced was that the original muffler rusted out and fell off the car!!! Yikes!

Another choice you might want to consider. The Arospeed dual rectangle 3" angled muffler. I like the way it looks and sounds really nice at high RPMs.

how do you like the exhaust note on your supersprints Yal? i heard they were the "quietest" of the bunch which is what i'm looking for...

Joe- Its very quiet inside and out which is also what I wanted. It does start to hum on a long drive. It idles beautifully with a low rumble but when you punch it that rumble doesn't turn into an errating roar. Apart from the sound quality and note what I have been very impressed with is the durability of the chrome.
