here's a pic of my rear....
if you noticed it's all flushed...
meaning it's all leveled...
versus your rear (the area where the license plate sits) slants in then the lid overhangs...

Hi Yury.

Thanks. I got the muffler courtesy of Ashman. Go to Ebay and type in Arospeed muffler. You will need to scroll down until you get to 'dual oval' tips. There are several types including mine which is the AMG Tip. Mine cost me $80. shipping within the US is about $15.00 I paid $50.00 shipping onto of the muffler price, but as I haven't seen anything like this in the UK for less than $400 USDs, I think it was worth it. people look at the muffler and think it is an MB/AMG kit.

tell me how you get

Hi jsmith.

yep, thats the baby. each pipe is 3.5" diameter. I'm not sure about the diameter of the pipe at the resonator end, but the shop had no problems getting it fitted.

hey jsmith...
doesn't matter the diameter, as the muffler shop will automatically replace the pipe from resonator to muffler...
or at least that's what they did for my car

Hi Rich.

had any luck with that autobox of yours? Oh btw, had the muffler rehung on Tuesday . . . . . looks much better now. Seen the wheels i want too. 5-star AMG 7.5J x 17". I'm going for 215.45.17 on the front and 235.40.17 on the back. the running diameter is almost perfectly matched against my current wheels, so i shouldn't have any problems. . . . . famous last words. . . . .

hey neil,

that's awesome about the muffler

i'm going to try and pay attention to my autobox this weekend...

as for the mis-set wheels...
only problem i could ever see happening with you having different sized wheels is that you'd never be able to rotate them...

whether that's important or not...different story all together...
lol

Hi Rich.

good point, but i'm not sure if 235s would fit on the front? i've got the sportline suspension and i think the front track is wider than the standard. if i'm wrong, somebody please correct me, but my wheels are the same as on my 185bhp 300CE that i had before and from memory - not my best point - they didn't stick out as far. the 205s that i'm running now sit fluch with the external part of the wheel arch.

Hi Rich.

the yellow stickers are there to refract the light. the car is left hand drive. i bought it in germany, but i live in england where everyone drives on the left, with a right hand drive car. so when i switch my lights on i'd blind the poor guy coming in the opposite direction, because my lights and the lenses were produced for left hand drive cars. i could pay about $400 USDs per set and buy the correct lights, i'd have to get the whole unit or as i've done, by these stickers at $5 USDs which last for about 2 years before they get damaged from cleaning and stones. When we (brits) go on holiday (vacation) with our own cars in europe we have to have them on there.

It's difficult to remember that you have to drive on the "wrong" side when abroad.

I'll start a new thread regarding the suspension. I'd be interested to know, as i wasn't able to park both cars next to one another.

ah ha...

hey neil...got a tip for you that would possibly eliminate that yellow sticker prob...

i'm assuming, since your lenses look euro...that you can take off your glass lens....?

if so...you should try using chrome tape...stick it to the glass...and then if you can stick it at an angle...kinda like < | so that the center of the tape doesn't necessarily stick to the glass...that way the light will bounce off the chrome tape...back onto the reflector and back out.....
plus it's internal and the tape is metalic silver so it'll blend it better with the internal reflector pieces...

chrome tape is pretty cheap too..if you can't find any i'll send ya some!!!

just a thought...

and when i say stick it to the glass i mean from the inside...so if you put the lens back on...you'd see the sticky side of your tape through the glass part....

and since the tape is metalic it does fine with the heat....

that's an interesting thought.

. . . . . . . one of my mods was going to be the updated hood so i'd need to buy new lights for that anyway.
