'94 E500 suspension to '94 E320: Do-able?

So my friend ( I won't say the name yet...) has a '94 E500. That friend is going to upgrade to AMG/E60 specs suspensions so I'm gonna inherit the stock E500 stuff. That should be sway bars, springs and shocks.

I wanted to lower my car w/ springs and get blistein sport shocks, but that would give me more looks than handling, whereas MBZ sportline or E500 setup would give me the perfect balance of both.

So my question is: Will all the E500 suspension parts fit my E320 w/o any problems? Is it gonna give me a lower stance, better handling? I think it should

What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

only the front...

The E500 has self-levelling suspension in the back, your E320 is a conventional non-SLS setup. You would have to add the hydraulic pump and all associated plumbing to make the rear struts work in your car. Not worth it.

The front E500 struts work well in the front but it may be difficult to find a good match in the back to keep the handling neutral. I purchased (new) E500 struts for my wife's '94 E320 wagon and I'm happy with the results but I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the back. I actually bought brand new E500 rear hydrostruts as the wagon also uses SLS but the struts and lower control arms are slightly different.

So, in front, you can use all the E500 parts (springs and struts) but not in back.

The front and rear sway bars will work and improve body roll.

Well then in that case, I think I'll just get the sway bars and go another way with the rest of the suspension...

Front E500 Sway Bar is Bolt-On pretty easy installation.

Rear E500 Sway Bar works but has to have rear subframe dropped a bit.

Hope this Helps!
