If you have to track that 500e...
Best investment one can make is Porsche/Brembo. Porsche is just easier to replace pads, otherwise same brakes.
I'm hoping to run the 500E at the track in the next couple weeks to see how it behaves. Apples to oranges comparison with the 911, but I change brake fluids approx every 4 track days (4x 25min sessions/day) depending on the weather since we run from 70-100+F. No matter what brand (Motul or ATE Super Blue). I do 10-12 track events per season. SS lines, Big Reds, Pagid Orange or Porsche street pads. |

I run Pagids on the Porsches. Don't know about availability for 500E/E500. Michael is hooked up on tracking his 500. Michael, what have you tried?

Track pads
I had good luck with EBC Reds, but they were history after 1 track day. The last few times I've run Textar Yellow box pads (had 2 sets lying around) and they held up, but left a LOT of residue on the rotors which required removal (wicked pulsing)- cut them once, but this time the plan is to bead blast it off or use MBZ rotor "cleaning pads" as referred to on the maintenance CD. I've also run 600SL pads & normal street pads, but destroyed them all.
Next time out I plan to run either Porterfields or perhaps some Rofren Italian pads...hate to drop $100+ on a set of pads that last 100 miles (albeit very "fun" miles).
