Yes, I have a comment.

We M119.xxx owners as a group need to find some talented mechanical engineers to draft and fabricate a high HP, high reliablilty kit or two for our addictive rides.

1. Supercharged - Centrifigal for budget, clutch actived Lysholm twin screw like the current E55 for state of the art.

2. Single turbo with intercooler for budget, Twin Turbo "C9 Sauber like" setup for tire shredding power.

From reading the posts, I have the general impression that MB turned the corner on evaporators around '89.

Also, an evaportor replacement will run you the cost of the evaporator, and 21.5 hours labor. You would also probably replace all of the vacuum actuated valves in there, too, once the whole dash is removed.
Stupid question...What's a evaporator?

That would cover one major failure, such as a/c evaporator, transmission, head gasket, engine wiring harness, etc.

Definitely worth it.
I use the Heritage Warranty on my E500 94..no problems - Quick!
800.753.5236
$50.00 deductable - usually waived by the MB service advisor
